Welcome to the 2nd period info. page! This class is combined 7th and 8th graders. At times we will be studying the same topic as one group, and at times we will split into grade levels and cover separate topics. Our goal is to make progress on 7th and 8th grade level math standards, as well as the objectives specified in each student's Individualized Education Plan.

*One-subject (or larger) spiral notebook.

*Folder with pockets and brads.

*TONS of pencils!!!

*Assignment book/Planner - Will be provided by school. BRING DAILY!

1) Lesson plans are subject to change based on the needs of the class.

2) Your student might have additional assignments which align with his/her Individualized Education Plan.

Friday: Literacy Day

Feb. 27-3/2 Find area of quadrilaterals and circles.

Understand vocab associated with circles: circumference, diameter, radius, pi, arc, chord

Find circumference and area of triangles using formulas.

Match nets to the 3D figures they represent. Classify and describe 3D figures. Understand perspective and 3D figures.

Complete geometry worksheets begun in class that day. Friday is Waffle Day! (Circles activity!)
Feb. 21-24 Classify polygons, especially triangles and quadrilaterals.

Use understanding of quadrilaterals to find missing angle measures.

Find area of triangles.
