LATEST NEWS: Last Updated: May 9, 2012 TCGC Circuit Championships: The GHS JV Winterguard competed in the TCGC West Championships and became the 2012 Scholastic Regional A Blue Division Silver Medalist!!! Congratulations ladies one an extremely successful season!!! WGI Austin and Houston Regionals: For the first time in the history of the organization, the GHS Varsity Winterguard competed and made it into TWO WGI Regional Finals. In Houston, the group finished in 15th place and in Austin an impressive 12th place. Congrats on this historical accomplishment!!! The GHS Winterguard season is underway. This year we embarked on a new journey by having our first ever Varsity and Junior Varsity teams. The Varsity Program is entitled “Gone, But Not Forgotten” with music from Katy Perry, as a tribute to the brave firefighters lost in 9/11. The JV Program is entitled “A Ghostly Symphony”. By the use of Camille Saint-Seans’ famous work ‘Dance Macabre’, the members of the JV guard takes you through an evening spent in a String graveyard!!! |
